We believe education is empowerment.

Education gives opportunity. Where there is opportunity, there is hope for a better life. Each semester we partner with the English Language Institute at The American University in Bulgaria and provide scholarships for this course to children with an interest in learning English. Having the knowledge of this language gives the children a chance at both attending the local university and greater opportunities for work in the future. Applicants must have a financial need, a certain grade point average that proves their educational work ethic, and a family hardship with one or both parents not being present.  Rays of Hope for Bulgaria further invests in their scholarship recipients that display outstanding academic interests and skills by sponsoring them in private tutoring lessons for studies outside of English. 

In addition to the scholarship, our project partners with  other ministries working alongside Roma children that have an interest in bettering their education. One of our main partners has begun a discipleship program to mentor Roma that are striving to become more educated so that both knowledge and skill can be put into practice within their community. ​If you would like to donate to Rays of Hope for Bulgaria click HERE
